The House Oversight Committee has opened an investigation into Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s recent visit to Pennsylvania as the November election quickly approaches.

The committee is asking questions surrounding the Biden-Harris Administration’s alleged use of taxpayer-funded resources to fly Zelensky to the state, Fox News reported on Wednesday.

In a press release, the committee said Chairman James Comer (R-KY) “is seeking documents from the White House, Department of Defense, and Department of Justice regarding the Biden-Harris Administration’s misuse of government resources that allowed Zelensky to interfere in the 2024 presidential election.”

the same committee that supposedly had the receipts to prove Biden had taken bribes but then ditched the entire effort for no apparent reason?

We need to deport that little bastard back to the Ukraine and have him take the Vindman boyz with him. We don’t need any of them interfering with our elections.

As I understand it, the Legislative Branch can investigate stuff and express outrage over stuff, and — in extreme cases — impeach and remove people, but in general does not have power to punish lawbreakers.

The Executive Branch is tasked with seeing that the laws are faithfully executed.

And this means that if the Executive Branch is breaking the law, there is not a whole lot that can be done about it.

Perhaps Trump should make note of this and go scorched earth when he gets into office. Do what is Right and damn the laws. What can the Legislative Branch do about it?

I think this is one glaring omission in the constitution.

Any 2 of the 3 branches should be able to have oversight on the third.

They can only operate within their legal areas when you have good people in them. As it is set up now, that is supposed to happen BEFORE anyone gets into those offices.

No way to get rid of them once they are.

In general, the House has two options:

1. They could institute impeachment proceedings. But the GOP won’t play hardball.

2. They could cut off funding. But again, the GOP won’t play hardball.
