There have been few contracts more remarkable in football history than Erling Haaland's recent bumper deal.
The Norwegian sharpshooter has put pen to paper on an extraordinary new nine-and-a-half-year contract with Manchester City, a deal which will, hypothetically at least, keep him at the Etihad Stadium until he is 33 years old.
Unsurprisingly, Haaland's latest contract comes with an impressive pay rise and one that solidifies his status as one of the world's top earners - a reward for several years of exceptional service and unrelenting goal contributions.
But how does Haaland's weekly pay packet compare to some of football's other superstars?

There have been contrasting reports on the exact figure Haaland is now earning with the reigning Premier League champions but it's been revealed by talkSPORT that his new contract pockets him an eye-watering £500,000-per-week.
That is a £100,000-per-week upgrade on his previous salary and earns him a ridiculous £26m every single year. Should he stay at Man City until his deal expires in 2034, Haaland will have earned £247m in wages alone.
Put in different terms, Haaland is currently earning approximately £50 per minute and £3,000 per hour. This is before you consider sponsorship deals and bonuses. Simply mind-boggling.

If Haaland is indeed earning half-a-million pounds every week, that makes him the Premier League's highest-paid player by some margin. That title was previously held by Man City teammate Kevin De Bruyne, whose current deal is worth £400,000-per-week. Liverpool's Mohamed Salah and, rather remarkably, Manchester United's Casemiro are the division's next highest earners and bring home £350,000-per-week.
There are only six players in world football that earn more than Haaland at present, none of whom play within Europe. Unsurprisingly, Saudi Arabia are currently paying the highest wages, with Al Nassr star Cristiano Ronaldo pocketing an earth-shattering £3.2m every seven days.
Neymar Jr. (£2.65m) and Karim Benzema (£1.6m) both earn ludicrous weekly wages, while eight-time Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi takes home £865,000-per-week for Inter Miami.
Sadio Mane (£650,000) and Haaland's former Man City chum Riyad Mahrez (£580,000) also out-earn the Scandinavian behemoth on a weekly basis.
