Schedule 1 players are running into a frustrating bug where their dealers aren’t working and won’t move their product, but there are a couple of easy fixes.
Against all odds, Schedule 1 has blown up on Steam and become a smash hit, as thousands of players look to live out their ultimate Walter White fantasy. The game, which has been compared to Satisfactory crossed with GTA, puts you in the shoes of an aspiring kingpin looking to build a drug empire.
But while finding the best mixing recipes is essential, you’ll need dealers to get your product into the hands of customers. But an annoying bug where dealers get stuck without making any sales, so here’s what you should do.
How to fix Schedule 1 dealer not working
Restart the game
The first and most obvious fix is to restart Schedule 1 in the hopes that it gives your dealer the nudge they need to start moving again. This method was discussed on the Steam forums and appeared to work for some players. Just be sure to save beforehand.

Schedule 1 players have run into a few early bugs.
Clear cache and verify files
If restarting doesn’t work then there could be an issue with your Schedule 1 game files. Luckily, you can verify them pretty easily by following these steps:
- Head into your library.
- Right-click on Schedule 1.
- Select ‘Properties.’
- Click ‘Manage Files.’
- Hit ‘Verify Integrity of Game Files.’
This will check if there are any corrupted files and remove them instantly, allowing you to continue building your empire.
Alternatively, clearing the download cache has also been found to work for some players, which can be done by heading to Steam’s settings and then ‘Downloads.’
Check customers and product
One of the main causes of this bug is dealers getting confused about who they should sell to, so make sure it’s as clear as possible. Double-check the broken dealer’s customer list and ensure that you don’t deal to any of them yourself.
If you do sell to someone that a dealer like Benji has on their list, they could become stuck in an endless cycle of trying to get product to a customer who has already been dealt with.
Also, make sure that the dealer in question always has some product left to sell beforehand, otherwise they could in a loop of trying to make a transaction with nothing to offer. You’ll receive a text message when they’re about to run out, so be sure to keep them supplied.

Dealers are crucial to building your empire in Schedule 1.
Bag the product yourself
While the dealers should be able to do this for themselves, they often forget, which can cause them to stop working due to the bug. With this in mind, bag any product you wish to sell manually and put it in their inventory.
This reduces the steps that your employee needs to take and makes them far less likely to get into a tangle.
Kill the dealer
This should be your last resort, but if none of the above steps work, you can simply kill the dealer and wait for them to respawn. They should come back the very next day with their inventory still intact, so there’s no need to worry about being a man down for too long.
There are a number of different ways you can take them out, but the easiest is to simply shoot them. Hey, anyone who watched Breaking Bad should know that this was never going to be easy.
Schedule 1 is still a relatively new game, so it’s no surprise that there are a handful of small bugs disrupting the experience. While the methods listed on this page could easily solve the problem temporarily, hopefully, a more permanent fix will come later down the line.
