Schedule 1 puts you in the shoes of an up-and-coming drug dealer, intent on making the most amount of money for the least amount of effort. Naturally, drug dealing is very, very illegal, so the game’s police will be watching.
It’s no secret that selling drugs is extremely illegal, both in the real world and in Schedule 1. As such, while you’re growing your empire, you’ll need to keep an eye out for the cops as they patrol the streets, enforce curfews, and just aim to stop all your nefarious deeds.
Now that’s easier said than done, especially if you forget to watch your back during a deal, stay out a little too late to get that cash, or get a little trigger happy with your gun. So, here’s how you can lose the cops and get back to your Meth making.
How to lose the cops
The best way to lose the police in Schedule 1 is to run and hide. When you get within their range (indicated by a circle), they’ll begin to arrest you, but if you run away, they’ll chase you down.
So, run as fast as you can and head into gardens, alleyways, around corners, under bridges, and hide until they stop searching.
When the ‘Under Arrest’ sign on the top of your screen starts to go from red to beige, it means they can’t find you but are still actively looking.

Another top tip is to crouch in bushes or dumpsters. Crouching makes you quieter, and dumpsters are great hiding places (if not a little smelly). Just ensure they’re not nearby as they can quickly corner you.
If you’ve been running for a while, you’ll get the Wanted Dead or Alive status. This is when the officers will use lethal force to take you down. Stay calm, but be prepared to run for your life. Hide whenever you’re far enough from their view, and stay away from any roads.
It’s worth noting, you can’t get inside your home during your escape, so don’t try and find safety there — all it’ll do is trap you.
Best places to hide
Undeniably, the best place to hide from cops in Schedule 1 is on the roof of the Fat Dragon Chinese Restaurant, the second house you buy.

Look for the pallet on the roof by the main door. If you jump up here when the cops can’t see you, then you can easily stay out of their line of sight, just reposition each time they spot you. And crouch!
Alternatively, if you’re too far away, the best option is to hide in dumpsters. Lose their line of sight, open the dumpster, jump inside, and crouch; the lid will close over you and hide you.
How to avoid getting arrested
If you struggle to lose the police in Schedule 1, then the best way to handle that is to avoid getting arrested in the first place. For that, you’ll want to keep the following in mind:
- Watch out for cops when dealing, look out for their uniform
- Don’t break curfew (or keep out of sight if you do)
- Keep your gun hidden around cops
- Carry a minimal amount of drugs in case of body checks
Essentially, you can still go about your business, but you have to be careful when doing so. Watch your back, minimize the amount of illegal product you have on you, and keep any weaponry hidden. All of this is fine, as long as cops aren’t watching.
What happens if you get caught
If you’re unlucky enough to get caught, then your game’s not over. You’ll have any illegal products taken away from you and will be given a fine.

Naturally, the bigger the crime, the bigger the fine, which is why it’s important to not have your entire stash on you at one time.
So, that’s all you need to know about how to evade the police in Schedule 1.
