GB News presenter Michelle Dewberry delivered a powerful rebuke to guest Mike Buckley during a heated debate over grooming gangs, challenging him for "not reading case transcripts."

The exchange occurred as Buckley attempted to discuss statistics surrounding sexual assault, prompting Dewberry to intervene

Mike Buckley said: "Jess Phillips has given a significant chunk of her career to action against violence, against women of all kinds.

"It is worth mentioning that the vast majority of sexual violence and violence against women is perpetrated by white men."

"No one disputes that. But that's not what we're talking about. And what I wonder is, have you read things like the transcripts, the sentence in transcripts of these gangs?"

He said: "No I haven't. That statistic is relevant because otherwise it's possible that people will go away with the wrong impression."

Michelle responded: "This is why I need to understand whether or not you've read the transcripts. Why haven't you availed yourself of that information? Because this is very publicly available. It's been circulated more than wildfire at the moment. "

Buckley fumed back: "It's not my job to deal with that issue."

Michelle said: "Well, can I make a suggestion, a respectful suggestion to you? And I'm going to make this to anyone else that wants to pipe up about this 85 per cent statistic, which is accurate.

"I'm not disputing that statistic. There is a fundamental difference."

She went on to explain: "Grown men are basically scouring the streets to look for predominantly girls based off a lack of respect for their skin colour, and torturing them.

"If you have read these transcripts and I implore all of you, if you haven't looked at them you must read these transcripts.

"When you do you see what these men, these disgusting creatures, did to these little girls."

He added: "I bet my bottom dollar you will also see what we're talking about. This is a very different thing. And I would say absolutely does need a national inquiry."

The row erupted after it was revealed last week safeguarding minister Jess Phillips rejected calls from Oldham Council for a government inquiry into historical grooming gangs in the town, with Phillips saying the council should lead an inquiry instead.

She has since hit back after Musk's subsequent attacks on her.
