In another infuriating moment that occurred during the Senate Judiciary Committee’s preliminary hearing for Pam Bondi, President-elect Donald Trump’s pick for the Attorney General position in his incoming administration, Sen. Padilla, a woke Democrat from California, rudely interrupted, shouted at, and pointed his finger at Ms. Bondi. Quite appropriately, she rebuked him for doing so and was praised for that rebuke online.
The matter at hand came when Sen. Padilla started hectoring Ms. Bondi about his delusion that she will “undermine” those who manage and run America’s elections, doing so with an angry, loud voice. He said, “Your job will be – I am speaking – to protect voters and election workers, not to undermine them… let’s move on to a different topic-”
Firing back at Sen. Padilla, Ms. Bondo noted that she was trying to speak and answer his questions, but that she was unable to do so because he kept cutting her off and rambling on his own rather than letting her speak and inform the American people of her views. She said, “You were speaking, may I speak? You cut me off-”
Instead of letting her answer the question, Padilla then kept shouting at her and rudely telling her when she could speak. Doing so while keeping up the shouting at the AG nominee and continuing with the rude gesticulations, he snapped, “When I ASK you the next question, you can speak, and I hope you answer.”
Bondi stood her ground. Firing back, she snapped, “I’d like to answer your previous one… you pointed your finger at me. Let me answer my question. I’m not gonna be bullied by you, senator [Padilla keeps talking…] I guess you didn’t want to hear my answer. I’m here to answer your questions, I’m not here to do your homework.” Watch that exchange here:

Predictably, conservatives on X loved Bondi’s brave and unrepentant rebuke of Sen. Padilla and his rude way of asking questions while pointing at her. Eric Daugherty, for example, said, “🚨 ‘I’M NOT GONNA BE BULLIED BY YOU’: Pam Bondi tells off aggressive and rude Senator Alex Padilla (D-CA) for pointing his finger at her and not letting her talk. Unprofessional.”
Also chiming in on the hearing, an account going by P.T. Ward said that Sen. Padilla’s behavior was “disgusting,” writing, “If you want to understand who is politicizing our institutions, look no further than this video right here. Disgusting behavior by Padilla here in the Pam Bondi hearing. She puts him in his place, watch.”
Another poster asked where the supposed feminists are, noting that Sen. Padilla had been acting in a way that many so-called feminists claim to detest, as he was yelling at Ms. Bondi and pointing his finger at her while not allowing her to speak. That poster said, “Where are the feminists? You know the ones who scream at males? Like Senator Padilla, who is pointing his finger and not allowing Bondi to speak?”
Still another commenter, praising Ms. Bondi for her epic line about not doing Sen. Padilla’s homework, wrote, “Pam Bondi goes NUCLEAR on Senator Padilla🔥 ‘Senator, I’m here to answer your questions, I’m not here to do your homework and study for you.’ This entire dialog was golden. I think she won me over.”
