'I want to make it spicy!' says Donna Mills. Never mind that the Knots Landing legend is 85 years old. That's the mantra that she's embracing as she becomes the latest celebrity to launch a page on OnlyFans.
As she sits in her elegant Los Angeles study (which doubles as a podcast studio), Mills is as beautiful and perfectly turned out as when she played shrewd businesswoman Abby Cunningham for nearly a decade back in the 1980s.
'I'm not going to compete with girls that are 20 years old,' she explains in an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail. 'That's silly.'
Instead, Mills, who's been on OnlyFans for barely a week, is leaning into what she believes her fans desire most: intimate takes on daily life that meld the mundane with the fetishistic.
'I don't think I am going to get to a point where I'm going to throw off my clothes,' Mills says. 'But I want to engage with my fans in ways that are warm and friendly.'

'I did a video in my pajamas, I did one painting my toenails… that's the kind of thing they want,' says Mills of the handful of clips that are beginning to populate her channel.
'They want to see you brushing your hair…brushing your teeth…putting on your make-up…there's one of me ironing a man's shirt,' she continues. 'They just want it to be personal…so they can feel like they're your boyfriend.'
Then there are Mills's feet.
Although she's still new to OnlyFans, she's already fielding requests. The oddest: A fan asking Mills to create content of her bare feet stomping grapes in her backyard vineyard.
'The grape thing is the funniest,' confirms Mills of her various fan demands. But there's nothing new about Mills's feet making her admirers act irrationally.
'Don't ask me why…[but] there are people who get turned on by and really like feet,' she says. 'Once when I was shooting a movie in New Orleans, somebody came in and stole all of my shoes!'
Just weeks ago, Mills, a Chicago native who began appearing in soap operas in the mid-1960s, didn't even know OnlyFans existed.
More than two decades after Knots Landing ended, Mills's days were mostly spent playing tennis, co-hosting her Knots Landing-tribute podcast We're Knot Done Yet with fellow show-alum Michelle Lee and enjoying time with her family (she has a young grandson).
'I'd never heard of [OnlyFans],' she admits. And when she learned that people were 'doing naked this and that' online, it didn't sound particularly appealing to her.
But then in April, actress Shannon Elizabeth, with whom she shares a business manager, joined OnlyFans and the 52-year-old American Pie-star reportedly earned a million dollars in her first nine days on the platform.
'[My business manager] called me up and said, 'Shannon just joined this thing and she's making a load of money; you should do it.'
The fact that Elizabeth was earning big while avoiding full-fledged nudity also appealed to Mills.
So, Mills made the trek out to the OnlyFans' offices near Los Angeles and met with a handful of executives who confirmed that she, too, wouldn't have to appear naked.
Less than a month later – and after confirming her daughter and long-term boyfriend were on board – Mills signed on as a bona fide octogenarian content creator. 'Do you think this is awful,' Mills says she asked daughter Chloe during the decision-making process. 'She said 'go for it mom,' she knew I wasn't going to embarrass her.'
Mills concedes her unlikely OnlyFans adventure has 'happened really fast.' Her biggest challenges so far, managing cringy fan requests and choosing outfits that are sexy-yet-respectable.
But the most difficult part of her later-in-life social media career is figuring out how to take a selfie. 'I've never been a selfie girl,' she says, 'but I am learning.'

'I'm not going to compete with girls that are 20 years old,' the actress and avid tennis player explains in an exclusive interview with The Daily Mail. 'That's silly.'
With their focus on the face rather than the body, selfies are a way for Mills to adhere to her golden rule: she won't show anything today on the platform that she hasn't shown already in her career, 'you know, boobs or bum,' she explains with a smile.
Both body parts were off-limits back in 1987 when Mills agreed to pose for Playboy. 'I did [Playboy] because they promised me a cover,' she says. 'For an actress a cover is everything.'
With her publicist and hairdresser on set to make sure the photographer didn't overstep, Mills's goal was to keep the Playboy pics 'very sexy, but nothing [excessive] should be showing.'
'The photos were wonderful,' she insists, but not good enough for that cover Playboy had promised. Without the 'boobs and bum…my layout was on the inside, but I wasn't on the cover and I was really pissed.'
Nearly four decades on, Mills will have the opportunity to rewrite this frustrating history. There are plenty of unused photos from the Playboy shoot and Mills will offer them to OnlyFans followers willing to pay extra for premium content.

'A lot of people that come to [OnlyFans] and try to engage, they're lonely and maybe just horny,' Mills says. 'Back in my day fans were not allowed into your personal life, now it's a whole new world,' she adds; and nothing, it seems, is off limits.
A former dancer who exercises daily, Mills views joining OnlyFans as an extension of her belief 'that you can get older without being old!' This means tennis, working out and lots of stretching; along with playtime with her grandson, keeping close to her fans – and soon an OnlyFans shoot of her stomping grapes barefoot in that backyard vineyard.
'We're not going to use our own grapes, we just don't grow enough grapes that we can waste them like that,' Mills makes clear.
After all, she says, 'we're not going to sell wine that, you know, I put my feet into.'
