Russian military insisted it was an ICBM. Their Press Director had no comment outside of the fact it hit a Patriot air defense system battery.
Zelensky said it was a new ICBM and will investigate it. The West claimed it was a medium -range missile, and not an ICBM.

Is this ICBM MIRV technology? My understanding of MIRV the last fifty years was multiple independent reentry vehicles designed to hit multiple cities. I’d never thought of using them conventionally like this. I count 6 waves of 6 warheads. Six ICBMs each with six MIRVs?
The Russians have the capability of mounting Avangard missiles on these delivery systems! 36 Avangards on Kiev is 800 tons of TNT equivalent destruction!
