The Pop-Tarts Bowl is back! And with more glory!
In the 2023 college football bowl season, one of the biggest games that caught fans’ attention was the Pop-Tarts Bowl, mainly because of the edible mascot that was included. Well, that feature just got elevated in flying colors, and not only will an edible mascot be back for this year’s edition of the bowl, but we’ll have three of them!
In the inaugural Pop-Tarts Bowl, it was Kansas State who were the victors and they got to celebrate their championship win by literally eating an edible edition of the game’s mascot. In other words, they got to eat a giant Pop-Tart — what dreams are made of.

In the 2024 edition of the game, we’ll have three different mascots. But it’s not just that we’re having multiple Pop-Tarts at our disposal, they’re actually competing with each other to see who will be the official pastry eaten! More sport for our sport!
Frosted strawberry, the flavor of the 2023 Pop-Tart Bowl, won’t be involved with this year’s version of the game. Here are the three different flavors that will be battling it out: Frosted wild berry, hot fudge sundae and a fan-favorite mystery flavor.
Being played between ACC and Big 12 schools, the 2024 Pop-Tarts Bowl is Dec. 28 with a kickoff time of 3:30 PM ET.
