Influencer Catherine Ebs has been fiercely slammed online after she called for the national guard to be brought in to handle rowdy Knicks fans celebrating across New York.
The city descended into pandemonium on Wednesday night as supporters went wild for the basketball team's historic victory over the San Antonio Spurs, which saw them surge back from 29 points down to mark the largest comeback in NBA Finals of all time.
But the bedlam was all too much for content creator Ebs, who demanded the military get involved and provide better safety measures for the public.
Originally from Minnesota, Ebs moved to New York with her husband Raphael Washington in February after previously living with him in Texas.
The pair watched Wednesday's game live at Madison Square Garden and afterwards, she reposted a video showing some of the chaos around the city.
In a text overlay, the original poster of the montage of clips pleaded for 'someone' to 'please call the national guard.'
Ebs shared it to her Instagram Stories and expressed her disgust and sorrow over how the city has been celebrating.
'Mind you, they won,' she added to her half a million followers. 'I love NYC, but this has been eye opening and honestly really sad.'

Ebs then doubled down on her position in a series of videos after she was subjected to backlash over it.
'The amount of people that are mad [over me] saying that it's disgusting that there...,' she began before trailing off.
'People are saying, "Take New York out of your bio if you don't like it here." What? People are just so ignorant.
'People are like, "This happens everywhere." No, it doesn't. Yes, some teams ride this hard but it's a very small percentage.
'It's the city's responsibility to protect absolutely everybody and this is just absolutely crazy.'
56 people were arrested outside the Madison Square Garden as fans grew restless during and after the Knicks comeback victory during Game 4.
Disorderly conduct included fans jumping on top of moving trucks, taxis and other vehicles while people were in them, trying to physically flip over a taxi and igniting rounds of fireworks in the middle of large crowds.
In her video, Ebs turned her attention to Spurs player Victor Wembanyama, who was nearly egged by rowdy Knicks fans following the game.

'The fact [the Spurs] were egged when they got [to] the hotel... Why are you that close?' she asked.
'Obviously being in New York, it is fun to experience the city winning, but not like this.'
Ebs ended her video by saying that she felt the behavior from fans was 'just not appropriate.'
'I obviously want the Spurs to win for my friend's sake,' she said. 'But past that, we're just basketball fans and we just love basketball. Both teams deserve safety in both places.'
Social media users lambasted Ebs for her 'pathetic' take and suggested she move out of the city.
Commenting on Reddit, one slammed: 'Yes, someone please call the national guard on this f**king loser and send her back to whatever bland suburban hellhole she came from.'
'This is pathetic,' wrote another. 'It's like she's trying to be Fox News and claim blue cities are a disaster, meanwhile the only disaster is her.'
'She NEEDS TO MOVE,' added a third.
'These types of people are annoying me so much right now,' continued another. 'No clue who she is but the Knicks are ONE GAME AWAY from a championship. Let the city celebrate and revel in it. Damn.'
'I don't know this influencer but Jesus Christ what a wet blanket,' said a fifth. 'The entire city is united in JOY and she wants to call in the military?
'Maybe NYC isn't for her. I wish she'd voice her displeasure to a native New Yorker.'
The Knicks are set to face off against Spurs again for Game 5 on Saturday.
The game will be held at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas, and the Knicks currently hold a 3-1 series lead.
