Influencer Tara Lynn bawling over Liam Payne's death slammed by cruel trolls

Cruel trolls have slammed a popular influencer for posting videos of herself bawling her eyes out over Liam Payne's death. 

Die-hard music fan Tara Lynn, known as taraswrld on social media, made a series of videos mourning the passing of the One Direction star.

But the influencer - who shares snaps of her lavish holidays and jet-setting life online - was quickly berated for 'overreacting' to her favorite pop star's sudden death.   

She told her five million TikTok followers that Payne's death at a hotel in Argentina last week didn't 'feel real,' in a video she made while sobbing on Friday.

The influencer said tearfully to the camera: 'I like genuinely never thought that I would have to deal with something like this. I never thought I would have to deal with something like this until I was so much older. Like, this is so sad.'

She added: 'Growing up loving One Direction was like everything to me. It's something I'm so grateful for every day and I just, I can't.'

Not everyone in the comment section were sympathetic to Tara's grief - and some ridiculed her for sobbing on camera. 

One person said: 'I fear that this is a really extreme reaction.'

Another wrote: 'This is the funniest thing I've seen in a while.'

Some users toed the line between dark humor and going to far.

'My boyfriend died sleeping next to me, I think you’re good.'  

Another added: 'I think you’ll be fine… I lost my my mom to cancer last week.'

Others made fun of the influencer for posting this video after she had uploaded a separate one on Thursday - the day of the star's death - that said she wouldn't be posting for a while. 

'I am heartbroken. Since 2012, Liam Payne has brought unimaginable happiness and love to my life, and I will never be able to thank him for the years he has given me,' Tara said.

'I probably won't be posting for the next week or so but I hope all of my 1d girls are okay this is the most painful thing I have ever experienced.' 

One user called this out and said: '"I probably won’t be posting for a while” she has posted 3 vids about it already.' 

Some were sympathetic and expressed their confusion over why people were being mean in the comments - claiming that those who were making fun of Tara weren't '1D fans.'

That hate didn't deter Tara from uploading her most recent TikTok vlog on Saturday that showed her buying flowers and wine for a Liam Payne memorial as One Direction's song Half a Heart played in the background. 

The post was captioned: 'I've been spending time with my parents, Jordy and my boyfriend I couldn't possibly be more grateful to have them here with me now.'

But the influencer's actions also faced the ire of her followers, who claimed that the way she was mourning was insensitive considering the way One Direction star Payne died.  

One fan posted a screenshot of Tara purchasing a bottle of wine for Payne's memorial and was captioned: 'Buying wine for Liam Payne's memorial... a man who struggled with addiction and alcoholism...'

Tara hasn't responded or acknowledged any negative comments under her video. 

She wrote under her video that she valued connecting with others on the internet and sharing her feelings which is why she posted. 

Payne died from multiple injuries sustained in his fall that led to 'internal and external hemorrhaging', preliminary autopsy results have revealed.

The 31-year-old plunged from the third floor into the courtyard of the Casa Sur Hotel in Argentina's capital Wednesday afternoon before medics confirmed his death.

Two forensic pathologists, named locally as Santiago Maffia Bizzozero and Victor Roberto Cohen, reached the conclusions during a post-mortem in Buenos Aires.
