From the gridiron to… the White House?
It appears that current New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers wants to try his hand in politics after he retires from the NFL, per a report.
Right now, the 40-year-old has become a laughing stock in the league, playing some very bad football as the leader of the dysfunctional 3-8 Jets. Things haven’t been great for Rodgers on the gridiron as of late, but luckily from him, he’s already got a plan to restore some potential glory in his retirement days. According to a report Wednesday from the Daily Mail, it’s more likely to see Rodgers get into the political realm and run for office rather than see him get into the broadcasting booth like other legendary quarterbacks have. (Tom Brady, Troy Aikman, etc.)
“He is interested in playing a few more years in the NFL, with the Jets, but if that doesn’t work out, he would consider going elsewhere for one more chance at a Super Bowl,” said the Daily Mail’s source.

I’ll keep it a bean: I absolutely love Robert F. Kennedy, love pretty much everything he stands for, but there’s no way in hell I could ever vote for his buddy Aaron — not happening.
