A newly unearthed speech from Judge James Boasberg has enraged online conservatives and provided interesting context into the controversial Judge’s thinking. In 2023, Boasberg spoke to law students, saying that existing laws were too lenient to punish J6 defendants to the degree he wanted to and advocated for new, harsher laws.
For context, Boasberg, whom President Trump has called a “Radical Left Lunatic,” blocked the Trump administration from deporting Venezuelan migrants under the Alien Enemies Act. However, Trump found a workaround, leaving the woke Judge furious.
To get back to the action, Attorney General Pam Bondi spoke to Fox News to express her anger with the Judge. She said, This is an out-of-control judge, a federal judge, trying to control our entire foreign policy, and he cannot do it. You know, he dragged us into court on a Saturday without any notice, and then he’s continuing these hearings. He’s trying to ask us about national security information, which he is absolutely not entitled to.”
She added that she would fight his decision to block deportations in court. She said, “We are appealing. We will be in court on Monday again. We will win. We will prevail. There are 261 reasons why Americans are safer today, and that’s because those people are now in an El Salvador prison, and we are going to follow the law and we are going to protect Americans.”
She says that bad immigration policy is why the Democrats are failing. Bondi explained, “You know, there is a reason why Biden’s approval rating was plummeting because of the border. There is a reason why the current Democrat approval rating is at 29%. People want to be safe. This is President Trump’s agenda to keep Americans safe.”
She concluded by making a strong moral argument for closing the border. She wrapped up, “It’s basic public safety. Get these people out of our country as fast as we can. They’re not immigrants. They’re illegal aliens who are committing the most violent crimes you can imagine on Americans … we are going to continue to make America safe again, because that’s President Trump’s agenda.”
In a reply to that post, another user posted evidence of Boasberg’s bias. The account revealed, “🚨🇺🇸ACTIVIST JUDGE BOASBERG CLAIMED J6 DEFENDANTS DESERVED HARSHER CHARGES — CALLED FOR “NEW LAWS” TO PUNISH THEM. In a shocking 2023 speech to law students, Judge James Boasberg — who ruled over many January 6th cases — openly admitted the law wasn’t harsh enough to punish defendants the way he wanted.”

The Post continued to provide context by quoting from the controversial Judge. The post said, “Boasberg: “There’s a lot of law still to be made.” He complained that no statute even made it a specific crime to “storm the Capitol and interfere with certification.'”
The same account concluded the post by offering a conclusion. It said, “Instead, many pled to ‘parading or picketing’ misdemeanors, charges designed for loud protests—not what he wanted. Translation: He wanted to invent new crimes after the fact to punish J6 defendants harder—clear judicial bias from the bench.”
