An intruder broke into Gracie Mansion, the official residence of Mayor Eric Adams, in a bizarre incident just hours after the city rang in 2025, police said.
Michael Aromando, 20, was arrested inside a bedroom in the mayoral mansion at 4:24 a.m. New Year’s Day, sources told The Post.
Aromando, an Upper East Side resident who lives a few blocks away from Gracie Mansion, had allegedly climbed a perimeter fence and entered the residence before Adams’ security detail found him, sources said.
Court records show Aromando faces charges of burglary and illegal entry, for which he was scheduled to be arraigned Thursday.
City Hall representatives didn’t immediately return a request for comment.
