In a statement on Wednesday night, Baqaei offered condolences to the families of victims of the terrorist attack as well as the people and government of the neighboring and friendly country, and prayed for the swift recovery of those injured in the incident.

The spokesman further noted that terrorism is deplorable in all forms.

Iran is ready to work with other countries, particularly neighbors, to prevent and confront this inhumane phenomenon, he added, the ministry’s website reported.

Authorities in Turkey announced the identities of the victims of the terrorist attack, saying a quality control officer at the company, a mechanical engineer, a TAI employee, a security guard and a taxi driver were killed in the attack.

Twenty-two people were wounded and were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.

An explosion and gunshots were heard Wednesday at TAI's facilities in Ankara's Kahramankazan district.

Two terrorists who attacked the facilities were "neutralized," while five people were killed and 22 injured, said Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan condemned the attack, Anadolu Agency reported.

Security forces, firefighters and paramedics were dispatched to the area, while TAI's personnel were directed to shelters for security reasons.
