Addressing a Sunday session of the Parliament, Qalibaf said the Israeli regime took the recent act of aggression against Iran “out of passivity” and faced yet another defeat.
Nevertheless, Iran feels entitled to defend itself and a response to this Israeli aggression will be definite, he added.
Qalibaf also reminded the US as the main sponsor of the Zionist regime that it has to push for an end to the massacre of people in Gaza and Lebanon and restrain Israel from waging wars.
The Parliament speaker paid tribute to the four Iranian Army forces who were martyred in the line of duty in the early hours of October 26.
The Iranian Army said on Saturday that four of its combatants were martyred during the confrontation with the projectiles fired by the criminal Zionist regime.
The Iranian Air Defense issued a statement on Saturday, saying that the criminal, illegitimate and fake regime of Israel in a move to escalate tensions launched attacks on some military sites in the provinces of Tehran, Khuzestan and Ilam in the early hours of October 26.
Iran’s air defenses intercepted and successfully confronted the acts of aggression, it said, adding that some limited damage was caused in some areas, the dimensions of which are being investigated.
