The umbrella group of Iraqi resistance factions stated that its drones targeted a critical facility in southern parts of the occupied territories.
The resistance group also confirmed carrying out two successive drone strikes on a key location in the occupied port of Eilat, also known as Umm Al-Rashrash.
In a separate operation, the resistance said it targeted another essential site in the northern region of the occupied territories.
According to the statement, these operations were carried out in solidarity with the people of Palestine and Lebanon.
The Iraqi resistance emphasized that the attacks also served as retaliation for the "massacres" committed by the Israeli regime against civilians, including women, children, and the elderly.
“In continuation of our approach to resisting the occupation and supporting our people in Palestine and Lebanon, and in response to the massacres committed by the usurping entity against civilians, including children, women, and the elderly, the fighters of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, today, Friday 25-10-2024, attacked a vital target in the north of our occupied land with drones,” read the group’s statement.
Mahdi al-Kaabi, a member of the political council of the al-Nujaba resistance movement, told Al-Mayadeen television on Thursday night that Iraqi resistance forces maintain effective coordination with other resistance fronts. He added that intelligence-sharing plays a significant role in their operations against Israeli targets.
The resistance coalition has vowed to intensify its actions as long as the Israeli genocidal war in Gaza continues.
Since October 7, the group has launched multiple operations against sensitive locations across the occupied territories, following the outbreak of an "Israeli genocidal campaign" in Gaza.
According to the latest figures, at least 42,718 Palestinians, predominantly women and children, have been killed in the ongoing Israeli military assault.
The Islamic Resistance in Iraq has also launched retaliatory strikes against US military bases in Iraq and Syria, citing Washington’s unwavering political, military, and intelligence support for Israel's operations in Gaza.
