In 2006, UN Resolution 1701 ended the Israel-Hezbollah war. This resolution was supposed to stop Hezbollah’s attacks against Israel, and to remove Hezbollah’s terrorists from Israel’s Northern boarder. As expected, this UN resolution was not worth the paper it was written on.

“Hezbollah overtly and consistently violates the terms agreed upon in Resolution 1701. The organization has been amassing arms and ammunition throughout Southern Lebanon since 2006. In the early hours of Tuesday morning, the IDF said that a “targeted and limited” incursion had begun several hours earlier, focused on Hezbollah targets and infrastructure in a number of Lebanese villages along the border that posed an immediate threat to Israeli towns on the other side of the Blue Line.
