Newly appointed Defense Minister Israel Katz appointed Brig.– Gen. Nadav Lotan to be the Ground Forces Commander on Friday.
Lotan will be promoted to the rank of Maj.– Gen., following his appointment.
Lotan was promoted per the recommendation of IDF chief of staff Herzi Halevi.
Halevi also filled a large number of other positions in the IDF during his meeting with Katz.
