A young Palestinian was injured by live ammunition during an attack by Israeli settlers and forces on residents’ homes in the village of Yatma, south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank, according to the Wafa news agency.
Ahmad Snobar, head of the Yatma village council, told the agency that settlers attacked the Hawouz area in the north of the village, provoking confrontations with residents.
Israeli forces then intervened, deploying a heavy barrage of gunfire and tear gas against the villagers, leading to the injury of the young man in his foot, Wafa reported.
Israeli settler attacks and violence by Israeli forces against Palestinians have surged in recent months in the occupied West Bank, according to Al Jazeera.
At least two Palestinians have been also injured during an Israeli air strike on a house on al-Beltaji Street in the Shujayea neighborhood, east of Gaza City.
A number of people have been wounded in an Israeli attack on the Khirbet al-Adas area, north of Rafah in southern Gaza.
Meanwhile in northern Gaza, an Israeli drone has opened fire on the only civil defense vehicle in Jabalia.
Earlier this morning, Gaza’s civil defense confirmed that a number of fire and rescue vehicles had stopped working in several governorates due to a lack of equipment and spare parts to repair and operate them.
Israel’s genocide in Gaza has killed at least 46,537 Palestinians and wounded 109,571 since October 7, 2023.
