“It’s Treason”: MTG Demolishes FEMA Officials For Funneling Taxpayer Dollars to Illegal Immigrants [WATCH]

Rep.  Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) recently slammed the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for funneling taxpayer funds toward illegal immigrants instead of focusing the resources on American citizens. The representative argued that it is “treason” that the federal government has failed to sufficiently assist Americans, such as those continually suffering from Hurricane Helene, while sheltering illegal immigrants.

Speaking to the head of FEMA, Deanne Criswell, MTG also criticized equity-based policies supposedly upheld within FEMA, claiming that the agency should solely focus on helping all Americans impacted by disasters. Calling out policies that call for equitable resource distribution, Greene slammed the agency for skipping the houses of Trump supporters during hurricane relief efforts.

MTG said, “The plan outlines three bold, ambitious goals to meet this challenge you have listed as number one, instill equity as the foundation of emergency management. Two, lead whole of community in climate resilience. Three, promote and sustain a ready FEMA and prepared nation.”  The Georgia Republicans proceeded to call out direct quotes from Criswell, outlining the goals of equitable resource distribution since some communities are supposedly impacted disproportionately.

However, MTG slammed FEMA for refusing to provide service to the homes of Trump supporters. “And I know you said that you fired the employee that skipped the homes of Trump that had Trump signs, but you know we don’t believe that was a one-time incident, and now we know there’s another whistleblower that has come forward and said that this happened in another state,” she said, maintaining the Biden administration has treated MAGA Republicans as “second-class” citizens.

Greene also called out the organization for diverting substantial taxpayer funds to illegal immigrants. “Well, in the fiscal year of 2023 FEMA spent nearly $789 million to shelter illegals in the United States. This past year, it was about 641 million. And this money, largely is distributed through NGOs. There’s a whole list of them.”  MTG blasted the idea that the resources are being allocated to people “invading” the United States while so many Americans are still suffering from Hurricane Helene.

However, the GOP congresswoman maintained this would not persist in the coming years. “Congress is changing that direction. Absolutely, we’re going to put American citizens first, not migrants, because we don’t believe that’s equitable. You see the situation putting housing and illegal aliens while Americans suffer with Americans taxpayer dollars, that’s not equitable. As a matter of fact, that’s the biggest failure that could be ever done to the American people,” she said.

Concluding her statement, MTG said, “It’s such a failure as should be treason, and that’s how the American people feel. As a matter of fact, regular people are so outraged, they are pissed, furious at the fact that they feel completely failed by FEMA that’s funded by their money, and yet their own money went to house illegal aliens that have invaded this country. Americans are dead today because of the failures that are of our border and FEMA took care of these people, you see that can’t. We can’t allow that to happen.”
