Jaguar boss says criticism of rebrand is ‘vile hatred and intolerance’

The boss of Jaguar has defended the carmaker’s controversial rebrand and said criticism of its marketing campaign had featured “vile hatred and intolerance”.
Rawdon Glover, the managing director of Jaguar, said the campaign message had been lost in “a blaze of intolerance”, adding that the carmaker must move away from “traditional automotive stereotypes”.

Yes Jaguar’s management went there as with the reaction to criticism with Gillette’s and Bud Light’s woke marketing campaigns. The management dumped a truck load of kerosene into the dumpster fire they started.

The criticism I’ve heard is mostly over the fact that the ad says nothing about the vehicle and doesn’t even show it.

I give it six months. Already they are saying the stock decline is unrelated. And when the bottom drops out of their sales, they’ll chalk it up to something completely different. They will then quietly walk away from their woke ad strategy.
