Jason Sudeikis appeared uncomfortable as he confronted a group of people trying to get his autograph Saturday in Los Angeles.

The Emmy-winning actor, 49, had exited The Dynasty Typewriter comedy club at around 9:30 p.m. Saturday evening, eyewitnesses told TMZ.

A group of 15-20 fans had waited for around three hours for the Ted Lasso star to leave the venue, and pursued him as he made his way out of the venue, the sources told the outlet.

He signed a few autographs, sources told the outlet, and was swarmed by others as he made his way out, which was caught on camera.

'Guys, please, stop, stop, I'm not going to sign anything,' the Fairfax, Virginia native said in a clip published on the website. 'I literally have to go!"

Sudeikis, who was pictured earlier this month attending the US Open in New York City, added, 'I'm sorry, that was a lot, that scared the s*** out of me. For real, I'm just a human being. Please, I'm going home - good night.'

The We're the Millers star, who shares two children with ex Olivia Wilde, 40 - son Otis, 10, and daughter Daisy, seven - was seen headed toward a parking garage as one autograph seeker tried in vain to persuade him to sign another item.

'Maybe as you stand and wait for your [vehicle]?' the autograph seeker said.

In addition to his success with the Ted Lasso series, Sudeikis has also been busy with a number of animated projects in which he provides the vocals.

They include the Hulu series Hit-Monkey, and the forthcoming films Hitpig and The Angry Birds Movie 3.

Sudeikis is the latest star to be seen in a testy exchange with autograph seekers, some of whom sell the signed items for lucrative sums on eBay and other platforms, as confrontations caught on camera have involved actors, musicians and athletes.

In June, veteran actor Kurt Russell showed his irritation outside a Television Academy FYC event in North Hollywood, California after he caught multiple people trying to have him sign multiple items when he previously made clear he would only sign one item for each person.

'I already did you, and I already did you,' Russell said at The Wolf Theater. 'Don't do that, man. See, you're going to ruin it for everyone. I just want you to leave now. I asked you guys. I'll just sign one thing and I'll give everyone one thing.'

Star Wars creator George Lucas in July of 2017 had an especially hostile exchange with people trying to get him to sign items on the street in New York City.

He told one of them, 'You know why I have money and you don't? Instead of spending time doing autographs, I spend my time making movies ... go on the corner and just beg - cause that's what you're doing right now.'

The previous month, he had been seen in a clip on TMZ in Beverly Hills, ruminating about what he feels is the reality of autograph seekers and the cottage industry they have cultivated: 'These people are here to make money - they're not fans, they're just making money.'

Coldplay singer Chris Martin lashed out in January of 2020 at what he perceived as a rude and pushy approach the autograph seekers were taking in their tactics.

Martin, as he departed the Palladium in Los Angeles after a show, made clear he didn't care about the commercial aspect to the practice, but didn't appreciate the sharp elbows that accompany the process.

'Don't shout at me, it's so aggressive,' Martin said. 'Either ask nicely or just f*****g be polite. Treat humans with decency. These are all going on f****** eBay. I always sign at least one each.'
