Jean-Marie Le Pen, the father of Marine Le Pen, has died aged 96, according to French media.
As a staunch nationalist, he was founder of the French far right National Front (Front National) party.
His daughter later became the party's leader, who has run to become the nation's President three times since taking on the role.
