Jenna Bush Hager called out comedian Shane Gillis’ controversial “Saturday Night Live” monologue where he said female gym-goers dress like “whores.”

“Who is he to comment on women’s bodies?” the TV personality said on Tuesday’s episode of “Today with Jenna & Sheinelle.”

“This perpetuates what is happening in our culture where people are commenting on women’s looks ad nauseam … and it’s not OK,” she told co-host Sheinelle Jones.

“If we want to be good role models for our children, stop talking about the way women look, period,” Bush Hager, 44, added.

The journalist emphasized that she would “be disgusted” if her husband, Henry Chase, “talked like that about someone,” which “he wouldn’t.”

Elsewhere in the segment, Jones, 48, gave her perspective on Gillis’ remarks, saying that she usually is “more lenient” with comedians, but “the word ‘whore'” challenged her.

“I know exactly what shorts he’s talking about,” Jones explained, sharing that her friends encourage her to wear similar types.

“I think when you say the word ‘whores,’ I think it feels almost derogatory … it feels mean,” she continued.

“Guys walk around without shirts on at the gym all the time, and they are proud of their bodies, so if the guy can be proud of his body, let the girl be proud of her body.”

The TV host chimed in on the controversy after Gillis, 38, received extensive backlash while talking about women at the gym on “SNL” over the weekend.

“I haven’t been to the gym in so long, I didn’t realize women just dressed like whores now,” he said, describing their shorts as “wrinkles [that] go around the cheeks and all combine at the butthole.”

“And don’t look, you’re not allowed to look,” the stand-up comedian joked. “For real, don’t look because they are filming. I’m in the background of about 10 TikToks right now.”

The remarks led several celebrities to speak out against Gillis, including fellow comedian and actor Dan Levy.

Gillis (seen here on “SNL”) made the crude remarks about female gym-goers on Saturday.
“I haven’t been to the gym in so long, I didn’t realize women just dressed like whores now,” he said.

“Women wearing short shorts to the gym does not make them whores,” the “Schitt’s Creek” star said in an Instagram video. “It makes the men calling them whores misogynists. There’s a difference there.”

“SNL” alum Ego Nwodim also took to her Instagram Stories to respond to the comments, referring to herself as a “whore reporting for duty” while wearing workout clothes.

The monologue, however, was “liked” on Instagram by Travis Kelce and referred to as “pretty funny” by Bobby Bones.
