Jeremy Allen White fans are calling for a lookalike competition in New York after the success of a similar Timothee Chalamet event over the weekend.

Willy Wonka and Dune actor Timothee, 28, ignited mayhem by unexpectedly showing up to his own lookalike contest on October 27, posing for photographs with his curly-haired doppelgangers.

And now fans of FX's The Bear are desperate to see leading star Jeremy, 33, honored with a similar competition next month.

A poster went viral on Twitter, following the furor of the Timothee spectacle, which advertised the lookalike event alongside a photo of Jeremy wearing a white muscle top and a signature cap, sitting on a bicycle.

The winner will take home two packs of cigarettes and a seven-day metro card, a nod to his character in The Bear, chef Carmy, who has a smoking habit.

A poster went viral on Twitter advertising the so-far unofficial event

While it does not currently seem to be a legitimate lookalike event, demand is high and supporters are already plotting ways for it to come together officially – with some even suggesting Jeremy's The Bear costar Ayo Edebiri to judge.

'I will be there to spectate for personal reasons,' one commented on social media, while another said, 'Looks like this is the most New York competition ever!

'The contest to look like Jeremy Allen White, with cigarettes and MetroCards as prizes, is absolutely on-brand.'

A third added: 'Okay but can someone else actually organize this? I will contribute the prize money.'

'Ayo needs to come and be a judge,' a fourth said.

Jeremy plays the lead star in The Bear, which has gained momentum over the past few years, as its second season was in the Nielsen Top 10 for a five-week span in June 2023.

The series also saw a spike in ratings following a stellar showing at January's Emmy Awards.

The honors saw Jeremy picking up the gong for Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, while Ayo was awarded Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.

Jeremy is best known for playing chef Carmy in the acclaimed FX series The Bear

Fans have suggested Jeremy's costar Ayo Edebiri should judge the lookalike contest

The show was also named Best Television Series, Musical or Comedy at the Golden Globes earlier this year, with Jeremy and Ayo winning their respective categories.

Before The Bear, Jeremy played Phillip 'Lip' Gallagher in the comedy-drama series Shameless.

He also starred in the 2023 film The Iron Claw, a biographical sports drama film about the Von Erichs, a family of professional wrestlers who are cursed by tragedy.

On Sunday, Timothee surprised crowds by making an appearance at a lookalike event.

At times, adoring fans accidentally heaped their attention on the lookalikes, apparently thinking they were face-to-face with the real-life Timothee.

The frenzied event, advertised on flyers around New York, was one of several look-alike competitions hosted by YouTube personality Anthony Po.

As word spread on social media, thousands of people RSVP'd to the competition, which promised $50 for the winner.

But minutes after the competition began - and before the actor made his entrance - police ordered the large group to disperse from Washington Square Park, and organizers were slapped with a $500 fine for an 'unpermitted costume contest.'

The real Timothee made a surprise appearance at the competition, sending fans wild

At least one contestant was taken away in handcuffs, though police did not immediately say why.

Competitors at the event told DailyMail.com the Dune actor triggered 'insane' scenes - and the NYPD even moved in later to disperse crazed admirers.

At least one doppelganger was dragged away in handcuffs from Washington Square Park on Sunday afternoon as the crowd screamed: 'Let him go!'

'It was really funny, like a spectacle,' bystander Megan Hattie Stahl, 33, told DailyMail.com.

'The people filming it and the people reacting to the cops became another layer of spectacle. It was just absurd.'

Competitor Noah Wilde, 23, said the contest was ranked by crowd vote, with people shouting for their favorite Chalamet.

He told DailyMail.com the crowd was 'thick' when police swooped in to try to disperse the young people.

'They pushed one kid and then they started yelling like 'why the f*** would you push me,' and made a little circle,' he said.

'They ended up getting arrested'.

But the drama was far from over, and stunned fans were shocked when the real actor showed up unannounced.

'Then the actual Timothee Chalamet showed up and gave [the winner] a hug. It was insane,' Wilde said.
