'Tonight Show' host Jimmy Fallon tackled White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt's sudden resignation this week by repeatedly poking fun at her soon-to-be former boss.
Fallon, 51, started his monologue Thursday by noting how 'President Trump is looking for a new press secretary' and that Leavitt was off 'to spend more time with her family,' which includes her newborn daughter.
'Yeah. Between the nonstop White House construction and Trump, she wanted to be around something way quieter - a baby,' Fallon quipped.
The host referenced reports that Trump was 'caught off-guard' by the decision before offering another punchline.
'This is strange, Trump is now blaming her resignation on pool vandals,' he joke - a nod to the conservative's unfounded claims that issues with repairs to The Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool stemmed from vandalism.
'Yeah, Trump was surprised by Leavitt's decision. She was like, "I wanted to wait for a good time but there hasn't been one, so,"' Fallon said.
A parting blow surrounding the 80-year-old commander-in-chief's health came next, along with an impersonation.
'Trump's now looking for a replacement who can spin facts and numbers, so another good option is his doctor.'

The late night host's remarks referenced how the conservative traveled to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for his annual physical back in May, and how afterwards he was said to be 'in excellent health.'
'Just finished my 6 month physical at Walter Reed Military Medical Center. Everything checked out PERFECTLY,' Trump wrote afterward on Truth Social at the time. 'Thank you to the great Doctors and Staff!'
The physical exam, meanwhile, was the fourth of Trump's second term, after years of him panning Joe Biden, 83, for slowed speech and other flubs during the latter's time in the Oval Office.
Biden was eventually forced to abandon his reelection bid when such concerns finally reached the Democratic Party and he was diagnosed with cancer shortly after leaving office. The spotlight has since shifted to Trump's health.
Bruising spotted on his hands, as well as photos showing severe swelling in his legs last year, fueled rumors the president's health was deteriorating.
The White House said the bruising is the result of Trump's regular Aspirin use and that the swelling stems from a condition called chronic venous insufficiency (CVI).
The president's physician wrote in a memo in July of last year that the latter was 'a benign and common condition' that showed no evidence of any serious arterial disease.

Fallon, meanwhile, made fun of a politician who is actually ailing just a few weeks ago.
'Well, some news from Washington after weeks of speculation about his health,' he segued, as a photo of Mitch McConnell and his wife, Elaine Choe, during the 84-year-old Kentucky senator's recent, weekslong hospitalization.
The photo showed McConnell - after suffering a fall - sat up in bed next to the former labor secretary, who had her arm around his back.
'Not sure how OK he is because that's actually a video,' Fallon smirked 'Nothing says perfect health like having someone hold you up when you're already sitting.' McConnell has yet to return to the senate a month later, putting the duration of his absence at around two months.
McConnell's office said the fall left the senator 'briefly unconscious,' and was followed by a 'mild case' of pneumonia.
Fallon famously interviewed a then-campaigning Trump in 2016 and has largely shied away from panning him since, unlike peers Jimmy Kimmel, Seth Meyers, and Stephen Colbert.
Earlier this week, however, the host mocked Trump for hiding in a catering cart to switch to a different plane after a NATO Summit last month in Turkey amid a security scare.
Joking that he had obtained audio of Trump’s ride inside the truck, Fallon played a clip of the conservative acting like a kid to a fed-up Secret Service agent.
