Jimmy Kimmel offered Donald Trump a belittling 'Happy Birthday' over the weekend by parodying a suggestive card the president was reported to have sent Jeffrey Epstein 23 years ago, which he strongly denies.

Kimmel, 58, offered Instagram followers a sketch of Trump's naked torso on Sunday.

'Happy 80th Donald! A pal is a wonderful thing. Happy Birthday and may every day be another wonderful secret,' a message within read.

Most of the language was lifted directly from a card bearing Trump's name published in September by The Wall Street Journal. Trump has vehemently denied writing the card - and sued the newspaper for $10 billion in response. The Wall Street Journal has moved to dismiss the lawsuit.

'We have certain things in common, Jeffrey', a portion read.

'A pal is a wonderful thing. Happy Birthday - and may every day be another wonderful secret,' read another.

Surrounding the words was an outline of what appeared to be a hand-drawn, curvaceous woman.

'Happy #80 @realdonaldtrump,' Kimmel wrote in his caption, alongside a far less-kind silhouette.

The host lampooned a card the president reportedly sent Jeffrey Epstein 23 years ago, according to The Wall Street Journal but the president denies. The message in question was flanked by a misshapen male form and fat folds rather than the curves of a woman

White House spokesperson Davis Ingle said in a statement: 'The seriously unfunny Jimmy Kimmel might be the dumbest and least talented television host in history.

'He suffers from a severe and incurable disease known as Trump Derangement Syndrome, and it has rotted his peanut-sized brain.'

The original note allegedly bearing Trump's name, meanwhile, was reported by the Journal to be one of several personalized greetings compiled for disgraced financier Epstein, who died by suicide while awaiting trial for his crimes.

The book's existence was confirmed by the House Oversight Committee in September, with much of its contents released as well.

Among the releases was a card identical to the one initially described and then published by the Journal.

Trump has denied all involvement.

Late last month, he refiled a $10 billion lawsuit against the Journal that describes its reporting as 'false, malicious, and defamatory.' Last week, the Journal filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit.

Trump has repeatedly claimed that he cut ties with Epstein in the early 2000s. The two men were both major presences in Manhattan and Palm Beach in the 1990s. Trump, wife Melania, Epstein, and accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell are all pictured together in February 2000

Should comedians push boundaries when mocking politicians, or does this cross a line?

Trump's former relationship with Epstein has been fodder for Kimmel for more than a year, as Trump's Justice Department continues to face criticism for its handling of the congressional mandate to release the Epstein case files.

Lawmakers are looking to determine what decision prosecutors made during their Epstein investigations, particularly when it comes to the late pedophile's associates.

Trump has repeatedly claimed that he cut ties with Epstein in the early 2000s. The two men were both major presences in Manhattan and Palm Beach for decades.

Trump, now 80, fired former Attorney General Pam Bondi in April. Last week, he formally nominated his former personal attorney, Todd Blanche, to be her successor.

The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee is looking to question Blanche about his handling of the Epstein files next month, chair James Comer told reporters on June 8.

'The main thing that we have for Blanche is the question on what, if any documents are left out there. So that’s the main question,' he said.
