Joe Rogan might be one of the faces synonymous with UFC but on its biggest ever night, fans ripped him for failing to dress for the occasion.
The 58-year-old donned a suit for the fight night at the White House, held in DC on President Donald Trump's birthday, but the millions of viewers across the United States and the world thought his short tie was a scruffy look.
Rogan wore a grey suit and silver tie to the biggest event in the promotion's history, but the neckwear he chose ended up stopping well short of his belt line.
Inevitably, fans took to social media to criticize the podcaster for committing the fashion faux pas - even though Rogan eventually fixed it.
One wrote: 'Who the hell let Joe Rogan where this short ass tie? Made for a toddler.'
Another fan posted: 'Almost looks like someone else tied it for him and gave it to him. Or a clip-on.'
Fans roasted UFC commentator Joe Rogan for the short length of his tie at the White House
Rogan was at the octagon for the UFC Freedom 250 event on the White House's South Lawn
In the run-up to the event, Rogan was critical of hosting the fighting outdoors
'All this money spent on the White House UFC Cage Match and they couldn't get Joe Rogan an adult sized tie?' one fan wondered.
Another user joked, 'This is what my tie looked like at my first band concert in 6th grade. What the hell is this hahah.'
Even Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy waded in on Rogan's appearance, posting a picture of the podcaster and saying: 'Is this the 1st time Rogan has ever worn a tie?'
In the run-up to the event on the lawn at the White House, Rogan expressed his concern over hosting the fights outdoors considering the poor weather which eventually impacted the proceedings.
'The White House thing is odd. I don't like it,' he said on his podcast last week. 'I don't like the idea of fighting outside at all. I just don't think that you should compete in a world championship fight in a non-controlled environment.'
Rogan also called it a 'gimmick' on his podcast back in May, which drew a response from President Trump.
Trump said: 'At first I thought, "That's not nice,"…And then I realized, it is a gimmick. Life is a gimmick, if you think about it, right? But it's a good gimmick. It's something that will never happen again.
'Nobody will ever have the privilege of doing something like this in front of the White House. It's going to be very unique. It's going to be amazing. I think it's great for America, frankly.'
