Actor John Boyega revealed he and his wife welcomed a baby boy “some time” ago, as he shared a first glimpse at their “bundle of joy.”
Boyega, 34, took to Instagram on Tuesday to give fans a glimpse of his life as a new dad, as well as sweet pictures of himself cradling the baby bump of rumored partner, model Lashontae Heckard, at what appeared to be a baby shower.
“Our bundle of joy has been with us for some time now but thank you for all the well wishes. Also my sister is about to pop! Wish her well too! 🥰,” Boyega wrote in the caption of the Instagram post.
In the carousel, the “Star Wars” actor included a quick video of himself sweetly rocking the newborn in his arms and stroking the top of his head.
In the comments section, many fellow A-listers left the couple words of well-wishes, including Heckard.
“Love and blessings to my Blessing!!!!❤️,” she wrote.
Tyrese Gibson wrote, “Praise God!!!!! I love you both…. You guys are amazing already great parents and now it’s new favor and new blessings!!!!!! Congratulations on the new angel….. Jon sir you are applying a lot of pressure for a brother like me!!!!!!!!!! Yikes!!!! Lol.”
Actress Teyonah Parris commented, “Congratulations!!!”
The happy news comes after Boyega revealed in an interview published Oct. 4 that he has been married for two years and was expecting a baby boy.
Boyega did not reveal the identity of his wife in the interview, but he has been rumored to have tied the knot after she posted pictures on her Instagram page wearing a wedding ring.
However, he did share some details about his wedding ceremony during the interview, explaining why they kept things low-key.
“We both like the idea of celebrating something established, rather than celebrating the entry,” he told the Guardian.
“And by then, we’ll have to shut Nigeria down!,” the British actor, who is of Nigerian descent, joked.
He also revealed that he is now a stepdad to a young boy.
Heckard shares a young son, Brandon Byron Jennings Jr., with former NBA player Brandon Jennings.
