Spain's 2026 FIFA World Cup victory was celebrated with a traditional trophy hoist on Sunday, a ritual "shared really only by the players," as The Daily Show's Jon Stewart points out in the video above.

The thing is, it wasn't just shared by the victors, with U.S. President Donald Trump lingering onstage after presenting Spain with their prize, and posing for the team photo alongside controversial FIFA president Gianni Infantino.

"What the f*** are you doing on the stage? It's for the players!" screamed Stewart in his monologue on Monday night. "Why must everything be tainted by the overinflated ego of Cankles Muldoon? Why?"
