Following the death of Jurassic Park actor Sam Neill, tons of Path of Titans players assembled their best dinosaurs to host an adorable, peaceful migration inside the game.
On July 13, 2026, actor Sam Neill died suddenly, shocking fans and causing thousands to remember his iconic roles, like his roles in The Piano, Peaky Blinders, and most notably his part as Dr. Alan Grant in Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park, as well as Jurassic Park 3 and Jurassic World Dominion.
Well, one group of players has remembered him in the most unique and fitting way possible, by grabbing their favorite dinos, jumping into Path of Titans, promising to not eat eachother, and hosting a peaceful migration to honor the late actor.
Path of Titans mourn Sam Neill in the sweetest way
Sharing a clip of the migration on TikTok, user Dizzy showcased the game Path of Titans, a co-op dinosaur survival game where the aim is to essentially kill or be killed.
However, in memory of Neill, tons of players came together to take part in a peaceful migration, marching down the beaches, hills, and fields together and eventually all culminating in a circle to pay their respects.
The sweet sentiment was met with a ton of love from fans of the game and those in mourning. Some harkened it back to a similar situation when actor Lance Reddick died, and the Destiny 2 community came together, as well as other remembrance vigils.
“There’s something so sweet about a peaceful migration too, like cmon everyone let’s go see the man who took care of us one last time, no pain, no death, no fear. Even if it’s a video game that literally means everyone STOPPED doing normal game functions to respect him, it’s the same feeling when the destiny community came together to send off a player who passed of cancer,” commented one user.
Another added, “Gaming communities can suck sometimes, but moments like this, Sam Niell and Lance Reddick, really prove how truly great they can be”
The migration was a wonderful sign of the impact both Jurassic Park and Neill had on multiple communities, and just like any Jurassic Park film, it naturally ended with all the players turning it into a free-for-all. It’s the circle of life, apparently.
