Jury finds Sesame Place not liable in discrimination lawsuit

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A federal jury in Philadelphia found the Langhorne-based Sesame Place not liable in a racial discrimination lawsuit.
The class action lawsuit, which was filed in 2022, claimed the Bucks County amusement park's character performers refused to interact with children during parades and meet-and-greets based on the color of their skin.

Seriously though, who stays up nights obsessing over the fact that their child was slighted over a fictional character enough to file a lawsuit? It says more about the parent’s diseased mindset than anything else.

For those who are not aware of the case a black couple complained that a character walking in a parade ignored their daughter while interacting with white kids along the parade route. Their complaint received attention from the local news followed by national news. Once the national news reported the story a number of people claimed the same thing happened to them and all joined a lawsuit.

The lawsuit was seeking over $25 million in damages.
$25 mil because a child was allegedly "snubbed"?
I'll bet those attorneys aren't happy on missing THAT gravy train...

The parents in the class should be counter sued for legal fees. The attorneys who filed the complaint should be disbarred. Law fare has got to be quashed!
