In big news for Americans hoping to see the Trump Administration Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) take a firm stance against the weaponization of the law against conservatives, Trump ally and former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino has been sworn in as Deputy Director of the FBI, meaning he is now the second in command of the bureau.
Such is what Deputy Director Bongino announced in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on the afternoon of Monday, March 17. In the post, Deputy Director Bongino posted pictures from his swear-in ceremony and vowed to deliver to the American people a justice system that is transparent, fair, and accountable, much in contrast to what they saw under the Biden Administration.
Deputy Director Bongino began the post with those general pledges. Doing so, he said, “It is an honor to serve as Deputy Director for the Federal Bureau of Investigation at such a critical time for our nation. The American people deserve a justice system that is transparent, accountable, and committed to the rule of law.”
Bongino then added some of his specific priorities, saying he would get the FBI back on track and exorcise political bias from it. He wrote, “My promise to you is that I will work tirelessly to help restore integrity, eliminate political bias, and ensure the FBI remains dedicated to its core mission of protecting the United States and upholding the Constitution.”
The FBI, posting about the matter, commented on Bongino respecting the men who have given their lives for the FBI, a potential indication that the bureau is getting on board with his vows to have it act in a serious manner again. That post said, “After his swearing-in ceremony as FBI Deputy Director, Dan Bongino paid his respects at the Wall of Honor, honoring the brave members of the #FBI who made the ultimate sacrifice and reflecting on the legacy of those who paved the way in the pursuit of justice and security.”
As a reminder, President Trump announce his appointment of Bongingo as Deputy Directory of the FBI on his Truth Social social media platform at nearly 9 pm in the evening on the night of Sunday, February 23, saying that Bongino is a many of patriotism and honor who has a great deal of law enforcement experience that he will use to take on corruption and restore law and order.
Beginning that post about Bongino, President Trump described the role and Bongino’s best qualities. Dong so, President Trump wrote, “Great news for Law Enforcement and American Justice! Dan Bongino, a man of incredible love and passion for our Country, has just been named the next DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF THE FBI, by the man who will be the best ever Director, Kash Patel.”

Continuing, he described Bongino’s long history with law enforcement and noted the sacrifice the former Secret Service agent is willing to make to do the role. He said, “Dan has a Masters Degree in Psychology from C.U.N.Y., and an MBA from Penn State. He was a member of the New York Police Department (New York’s Finest!), a highly respected Special Agent with the United States Secret Service, and is now one of the most successful Podcasters in the Country, something he is willing and prepared to give up in order to serve.”
Concluding, the president noted that Bongino would work alongside Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel to bring law and order back to America while also fighting to make the FBI fair again, rather than biased against conservatives. He said, “Working with our great new United States Attorney General, Pam Bondi, and Director Patel, Fairness, Justice, Law and Order will be brought back to America, and quickly. Congratulations Dan!”
