If the parties were flipped (DEM POTUS, DEM Senate), there would be zero obstacles to getting their candidates through the confirmation process.

If I am the head of the GOP, I would quietly visit each of the roadblocks in the US Senate.
Tell them to remember what happened to Ben Sasse and Mitt Romney. The voters sent Trump to do a job, stand in his way at your own political peril. The same things that happened back home to Sasse and Romney can happen to you. You try to oppose Trump and you will not even have enough support back home to be able to run for re-election much less win a primary,
