Kai Cenat broke down on stream after iShowSpeed took one wrong step in the Nether and ended their Minecraft marathon.
The duo survived four days of permadeath chaos before this Day 5 collapse. Their last Hardcore attempt dragged on for 105 hours, so fans knew the stakes when Kai returned to dual-platform streaming last month, but one wrong step in the Nether was all it took.
iShowSpeed’s Piglin death wipes 10 hours of Minecraft progress
iShowSpeed wandered into the Nether under-geared and fell to a Piglin, instantly deleting their 10-hour world.
Kai Cenat watched the screen, buried his face in his hands, and started sobbing. He stormed off camera, slammed his chair, and crashed out of the broadcast while chat flooded with crying emojis.

The death came roughly 75 hours into their marathon, which began on August 7 with a promise to defeat every major boss on Hardcore difficulty. Neither streamer had slept properly, and the reset sent them straight back to punching wood, hiding from creepers, and arguing over who would mine the next batch of coal.
This was not their first funeral, of course. The pair had already died to Blazes and reset multiple times during their August 7 stream, and tempers had been fraying since the first night.
In 2024, they needed 42 restarts and an actual therapist just to slay the Ender Dragon. This time they gave themselves a 10-day limit, but Speed’s Piglin mishap proved that no schedule survived contact with an angry mob. By Day 5, exhaustion had replaced strategy, snacks had run low, and the marathon showed no sign of wrapping up before the deadline.
