As I was registering voters today at ASU, a radical leftist threw their whole beverage on me and ran away.

One hopes that it was just a consumer "beverage" and not some poisonous, hazardous, acidic, or caustic liquid. Since it was a radical leftist who threw the liquid, a person or a security guard should be warranted to use force (up to and including deadly) to prevent such an attack that could just as well have burned or blinded the young woman.
