Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 finally gets multiplayer thanks to mod

Ever wanted to play Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 with your friends? Well, thanks to a mod, the game’s finally going multiplayer.

There’s something wonderful about exploring a vast open world with your friends, especially when it’s as rich and unexpected as Kingdom Come: Deliverance. After all, riding horses across a medieval landscape and getting into muddy bar fights are always hilarious.

Well, unfortunately, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 doesn’t officially support playing the adventure with your friends. That is, until a new multiplayer mod was released, allowing you to do take part in horse races, sieges, PvP, and, of course, exploration.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 gets over 50-player multiplayer mod

Known as KCD:MP, this mod essentially turns the single-player RPG into a multiplayer game, with anyone able to host up to 50 players smoothly, though the website does state that “100 should be easy on a big map like Kuttenberg.”

If you do dive in, you’ll be able to free-roam, take part in basic RP servers, compete in duel arenas, race your horses, take part in epic sieges, battle in PvP, and ride horses with your friends while exploring the landscape.

According to the mods site, you can even take on jobs: “jobs, farming, factions, and territories are exactly what modes are built for.” It continues by saying, “you can roleplay in text and voice, change your look, ride and keep your own horse, form parties, fight, and search those you’ve beaten,” with more to come in every update.

Don’t worry, though, as you will be able to make your own character, so don’t expect there to be 50 Hal’s running around fighting each other, though you could certainly make that happen if you want.

KCD:MP launched into open beta on September 24, but is fully playable for those wanting to dive back into Bohemia with their pals while it receives regular updates.
