Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem let loose with a dire warning for those who continue trying to threaten Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers as a means of resisting President Trump’s immigration policies, saying that they will face the harshest application of the law for acting in such a manner.
As background, the Trump Administration has tried ratcheting up the rate of deportations by doing everything from invoking the John Adams-era Alien Enemies Act to arresting foreign students who are causing chaos as American universities by protesting in favor of this or that crazy grievance of theirs. In response, the left has gone absolutely ballistic, with some pro-immigration types, many of them immigrants, going so far as to threaten to harm ICE agents.
It was against that sentiment that DHS Secretary Noem reacted in a fiery post on X made on Sunday, March 30. In the post, she vowed harsh retribution exercised by the government in response to the calls for violence against immigration officers issued by various leftists online.
What appears to have particularly sparked her ire was an astoundingly awful post from a TikTok creator who appeared to be an immigrant, in which he told those who were watching that they should “shoot at ICE agents on sight” if those agents try to “take you or a loved one” in order to arrest and/or deport them.
Specifically, the pro-violence TikTok creator said that the agents could be shot because of how they are making arrests. He said, “Shoot at ICE agents on sight. That’s right. If ICE agents are trying to take you or a loved one, shoot them on sight. The way they are pulling up with masks on, with unmarked vehicles, no badge, no nothing — it could be anybody. It could be gang members. You have every right to shoot at them. This would be the best self-defense case, you’re just in fear for your life.”
Continuing, he indicated that what really bugs him is that illegals are being deported, not so much the tactics used. He said, continuing with the pro-violence video, “You don’t know who’s behind that unmarked vehicle, or who’s behind that mask. This is ridiculous. What is our country coming to? Why would you want to be an ICE agent anyway? Do you like separating kids from their parents? Do you like deporting students that are studying?”
Responding in a quote tweet to the video, Secretary Noem warned the man and people like him that those who threaten agents and those who attempt to inflict harm on them will face severe consequences. She wrote, “If you threaten or attempt to harm a law enforcement officer we will find you and prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law.”

National Border Patrol Council Vice President Hector Garza, speaking to Fox News Digital about the horrific video and the threats issued in it, said, “This kind of rhetoric is not only dangerous, it incites real-world violence and undermines the rule of law. Our agents risk their lives every day to protect this country, and they deserve to do their jobs without fear of being targeted simply for wearing the uniform.”
