LaRouche Offshoot Promethean Action Hijacking America First Movement

A sophisticated propaganda campaign is currently targeting patriotic, constitutionalist Americans. It operates under the banner of “Promethean Action,” wielding rhetoric that ostensibly champions Donald Trump, tariffs, and American manufacturing. However, this organization is actively attempting to lure the conservative base into a collectivist trap. While its pamphlets decry globalism and the “British System,” its true objective is to implement a top-down, state-managed economy driven by a socialized National Bank.

To understand the threat, one must look at the organization’s roots. According to its mission statement, “former collaborators of Lyndon LaRouche, many for 50 years or more, founded the Promethean Action organization in 2024, changing the name from LaRouche PAC Action.” It continued, “The Political Action Committee, LaRouchePAC, also changed its name, becoming Promethean PAC.” Promethean Action’s stated objective is “to apply the ideas of LaRouche … to the profound economic, political and cultural challenges now facing the United States and the world.”

Lyndon LaWho?

So who was Lyndon LaRouche? Some may recall him as an eight-time perennial presidential candidate. According to the late President Emeritus of The John Birch Society John F. McManus, LaRouche began his political career deeply entrenched in the radical Left, having joined the Socialist Workers Party, and taught “Elementary Marxist Economics” for the far-Left extremist Students for a Democratic Society (SDS). He was also sentenced to 15 years in prison for mail fraud and tax evasion.

His political apparatus, from which he unsuccessfully ran for president eight times, operated in a shadowy, cult-like manner. As Alex Newman reported for The New American, on May 3, 2012, LaRouche’s psychological operations involved stripping recruits of their egos to rebuild their personalities around a “new socialist identity.” Furthermore, LaRouche’s organization viciously attacked constitutionalists and anticommunists. According to McManus:

Over his many years, LaRouche sought to gain support for a wide variety of unsupportable claims. He accused Britain’s Queen Elizabeth of having a leadership role in the spread of dangerous drugs. He and the organs he created attacked former Congressman Larry McDonald for supposedly being the chief Rockefeller aide in Congress. LaRouche also targeted McDonald for wanting to investigate KGB infiltration of Congress.

Representative Larry McDonald was also the chairman of The John Birch Society. On September 1, 1983, McDonald was a passenger on commercial Korean Air Lines flight 007, when it was shot down by the Soviet Union, near Sakhalin Island, just north of the Japanese island of Hokkaido.

Promethean Action as LaRouche Relunch With Same Old Tactics

Today, LaRouche’s political heirs at Promethean Action are executing a deceptive infiltration strategy. Just as LaRouche attempted to co-opt President Ronald Reagan’s popularity in the 1980s by latching onto the Strategic Defense Initiative, Promethean Action is now attempting to leech off the populist momentum of the current America First movement.

In its recent two-page pamphlet “Bye, Bye, Globalism: The American System is Back!,” Promethean Action celebrates the use of government power to erect trade barriers, direct low-cost credit, and orchestrate national industry. They praise the “American System” of Alexander Hamilton, Abraham Lincoln, and William McKinley. Yet, as The New American has previously warned, the Hamiltonian system was nothing more than a carbon copy of British mercantilism — a regime of corporate welfare and crony capitalism that birthed the unconstitutional First Bank of the United States and directly led to 72-percent price inflation from 1791 to 1796. Similarly, Lincoln’s “Greenback” fiat-currency scheme and massive federal subsidies bred colossal corruption, culminating in the Crédit Mobilier scandal.

Promethean Action is also openly celebrating what can only be described as Republican socialism. In a leaflet titled “Trump’s USA Resurgent,” the group applauds the injection of billions of dollars in federal grants and Small Business Administration loans to direct the American economy. They also celebrate government-orchestrated “advanced manufacturing apprenticeships” and state-directed nuclear and industrial projects. None of this is consistent with free-market capitalism. It is economic central planning under a seemingly patriotic veneer.

Exploiting Tragedy

Even more disturbing, this LaRouchian offshoot is weaponizing a horrific murder to advance its technocratic agenda. Following the tragic September 10, 2025 assassination of conservative influencer Charlie Kirk, Promethean Action shamelessly exploited his death. In its pamphlet “Bye, Bye, Globalism,” it claims that “in the wake of the murder of Charlie Kirk, many young people are returning to religious services and studying the Bible.” It then immediately attempts to hijack this religious awakening, asserting that building moral strength is “essential” to meeting bizarre, state-planned technocratic goals of “AI, robotics, nuclear fusion, and human space travel.” This grotesque pivot reveals Promethean Action’s true face and agenda: utilizing Christian, conservative grief to manufacture consent for a top-down, government-directed industrial utopia.

America First Central Planning?

Promethean Action’s economic endgame is equally subversive. As this author exposed in the article “LaRouche Group Promethean Action Pushes Marxist Central Banking,” published on October 13, 2026, the organization attacked stalwart constitutionalists Representative Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) and Senator Mike Lee (R-Utah) for introducing the Federal Reserve Board Abolition Act. Promethean Action does not want to end the unconstitutional Federal Reserve; it wants to absorb it into the U.S. Treasury to create a fully socialized “National Bank” that issues unbacked fiat currency to fund pet industrial projects.

Rather than being a so-called “American” innovation, such a fully state-run central bank would be a direct fulfillment of the fifth plank of Karl Marx’s The Communist Manifesto, which demands the “Centralisation of credit in the hands of the state, by means of a national bank with State capital and an exclusive monopoly.” This is not the solution for how to stop globalism.

Vigilance Is a Virtue

Patriotic Americans must not be beguiled by Promethean Action’s nationalistic veneer and polished videos. Supporting the domestic reindustrialization of the United States is a noble goal, but it can only truly be achieved through the free market, less government, enforcing the Constitution, and restoring sound money; not through Marxist central banking, government subsidies, more and more centralized government, and a fiat “greenback” dollar. A centrally planned economy remains a collectivist threat to liberty, regardless of whether it is administered by radical leftists or disguised under the populist banners of the LaRouche movement.
