Lauren Boebert pushes for 15 minute cities with new zip code within zip code legislation...(buh bye...)

The House of Representatives voted unanimously to pass my bipartisan Zip Code Bill today!

Communities that do not have a unique Zip Code within the Postal service system often experience problems that include loss of economic development, loss of sales tax, unjustifiably high insurance rates, tax remittance and commercial licensing issues, diminished public safety and reduced emergency response times, identity issues, and efficiency issues.

While this may seem like a niche issue to some, it is very important to the cities and towns who asked us to put forward this bill on their behalf.

Thank you to every member of the House who worked together to pass my bipartisan legislation!

Don’t be stupid. This is for rural areas.

By the way, you lied about the title.

FWIW the Empire and the Chrysler building have their own Zip codes.

“Walkable” if you like stair climbing.

It doesn’t seem to me getting a zip code is an issue of 15 minute cities, but inadequate mail service.

I support "open carry", even in the US House of Representatives.

Except for "Saggy" Pelosi and Maxine Waters...

Here are a couple of south central Pennsylvania examples, only about 40 miles from the I-95/Acela corridor:

1) Small town with a Post Office which only offers PO Boxes, no rural delivery. Every address to the west of Main Street uses another rural communities ZIP code; every address on the east side of Main Street uses a ZIP code associated with the small city ten miles away.

2) Small town, again with a Post Office which only offers PO Boxes, no rural delivery; but this time, because there was another town in Pennsylvania with the same name it was forced to be called “Codorus” instead of the incorporated Borough of “Jefferson”. Other than PO Box delivery all residents use the name of a town five miles away.
