‘Leave Them Out Of It’: Kylie Kelce Finds Most Annoying Thing To Whine About

Kylie Kelce, wife of former NFL superstar Jason Kelce and future sister-in-law to Taylor Swift, has violated a cardinal rule of celebrity: Don’t whine about being famous.

Kylie Kelce discussed whether her four young daughters “enjoy the fame” on the Thursday episode of her podcast, “Not Gonna Lie.”

“First of all, yuck. Oh God, that’s terrible,” Kylie Kelce began. She explained that her children “think that it’s funny” when strangers ask their father, “Are you Jason Kelce?”

The Kelces have four daughters, ranging in age between six and one year old.

“Sometimes we catch them playing a game amongst themselves where they are not involving adults, where they will start to go, ‘Oh my gosh, I’m such a huge fan. Can we take a picture?” (RELATED: John Daly Reveals To Kelce Bros How He Would Have Lived Life Differently If He Knew He Would Live This Long)

“Yuck. I don’t like that our kids have picked up on this. Obviously, they’re going to pick up on it when they leave the house with their dad … It makes me sad that this is their reality. I want them to have as normal of an upbringing as possible.”

“I think that we should collectively leave them out of it. Okay, great. Let’s do that,” concluded Kylie Kelce.

Kylie Kelce’s sentiment is understandable. But if, after marrying one of the “greatest centers” in National Football League history, one wanted to protect their children from the spotlight, it would be wise to avoid starting a podcast in which one’s children prominently feature.

Jason Kelce also has a podcast, co-hosted by brother Travis Kelce: “New Heights.” The most popular clips from the “New Heights” podcast feature the Kelce children. One has 11 million views, the other 10 million views.

Some of Kylie Kelce’s most popular podcast episodes concern her children:

  • “Kylie on Baby Finn’s Birth Story,” in which she introduces viewers to her two-day-old child.
  • A “back to school special” episode, with three of her daughters in the thumbnail.
  • An episode in which Kylie Kelce and her mother-in-law discuss the Kelce girls’ experience at Disneyland. At the end of the episode, the children join their mother and grandmother as a Disney employee dressed as Minnie surprises them. The episode was produced in partnership with Walt Disney World And AdventHealth.

The first episode of her podcast is titled: “Kylie on Pregnancy Reaction, Parenting with Jason & Raising Boys vs Girls with Kaitlin Olson.” The episode garnered one million views. In the podcast’s first week, it took the top spot on the Apple and Spotify podcast charts, displacing “The Joe Rogan Experience,” according to The Cut.

That’s all to say, if Kylie Kelce wants the public to “leave them out of it,” she should lead by example.

Kylie Kelce has deliberately courted fame. She was joined by former first lady Michelle Obama on episode 15 of “Not Gonna Lie,” an impressive “get” for any podcaster, much less a rookie one. No doubt, Jason Kelce’s fame and Travis Kelce’s relationship with Swift have accelerated Kylie Kelce’s career trajectory. “Not Gonna Lie” immediately attracted corporate sponsors. Her first episode was sponsored by Dunkin’ Donuts. Her most popular episode, “The Uncle Trav Special,” was sponsored by Intuit TurboTax. Kylie Kelce has partnered with Liquid Death, Dove, Old Navy, and Toyota.

I would not care about any of this, except for the fact that it undermines Kylie Kelce’s coyness about her family’s stardom. Kylie Kelce is more than likely aware of the public interest in her family, especially from superfans of Swift. She has capitalized on that interest — which is fine. It only becomes grating when Kylie Kelce pretends that fame was foisted upon her, neglecting to acknowledge her participation in the matter.
