Letters to the Editor: Kamala Harris' disturbing remark on shooting a home intruder

To the editor: As a physician who has spent the last 40 years saving countless lives, I abhor guns and the damage they have wreaked on society. I was appalled to hear Vice President Kamala Harris laughing while talking about shooting an intruder during her campaign event with Oprah Winfrey.
I cannot consciously vote for someone who can laugh about taking a life, while at the same time I will not vote for her Republican opponent, a convicted criminal and pathological liar.
We the American people deserve better, though with our current deeply divided nation, I am not hopeful for the near future. I will cast my vote for the Green Party candidate Jill Stein in protest.

Apparently, this person thinks it's wrong for a person to shoot an intruder who is trying to kidnap, rape, and murder their family.

So laughing about taking a life from someone trying to harm you is bad, but getting a paycheck to kill an innocent baby is good ?

I doubt Harris would (nor will she ever have to, being surrounded by armed security). She is all hat, no cattle.

He didn’t say it was wrong to defend your home and maybe take a life.
He said it was wrong for Harris to so cavalierly laugh about it. He has a point. It’s a serious and sober thing to shoot somebody and take their life. But she just laughed and giggled about it.
Of course, then Dr. Sarkar goes on to prove himself an uneducated and grossly misinformed ignoramus when he writes “I will not vote for her Republican opponent, a convicted criminal and pathological liar.”

Sad thing is that so many “caregivers” are of this same loony mindset!
Thankful that she is NOT voting. One less vote I don’t have to suffer!Now, if she could only convince the rest of her family and friends to sit the election out, it would be dandy!

Sorry doctor. Someone breaks into your home, their intentions are not good. So you can either treat the gunshot intruder, or his victims. There is no third way.
