A left wing commentator has slammed the idea of Vice President Kamala Harris becoming the Governor of California.

Ana Kasparian of The Young Turks show hit back at her co-host Cenk Uyger after he suggested Harris would 'cakewalk' her way into leading The Golden State.

In response, the 38-year-old was left with her mouth wide open in shock as she shouted: 'No! No! What are you doing? What are you doing?'

Uyger said that Democratic voters in the state would back the move for Harris as they 'love to obey'.

Frazzled by the suggestion, Kasparian said: 'This state cannot survive another incompetent Democrat leading it. No, we just can't.'

Addressing the camera directly, and seemingly Harris, she said: 'How about you wait and see, like, your way out of public life?

'And go do what you’re supposed to do. Go work in the private sector. Go do the lobbying thing — whatever it is. But don’t run as governor of California. Do not!'

The two had been discussing how liberals have been grieving the presidential win of Donald Trump over Harris and what she might do next.

Political insiders told DailyMail.com after the election that they expected Harris to retool and prepare to run for president again in 2028

After the loss, her advisers and allies say they have been instructed by the vice president to 'keep her options open'.

She could run for president again in 2028, or run for the open governor seat in her home state of California in 2026.

Gov. Gavin Newsom, who came up through California politics with Harris, is term limited and may eye a 2028 run for White House himself.

It's unclear, however, whether Harris would be interested in running for governor, as it could be perceived as a step back from her role as vice president.

Political insiders told DailyMail.com after the election that they expected Harris to retool and prepare to run for president again in 2028.

In 2028, Harris will be only 63, young enough to make a political comeback, especially if Trump’s second term is a failure.

Kasparian's reaction comes after she said she had felt 'politically orphaned' and had turned her back on her Democratic Party affiliation.

She said that she ditched the Dems after liberals sympathized with a homeless pervert who molested her back in 2022.

The California-native opened up about her traumatic experience, sharing that while she was out walking her dog in Los Angeles, two men - both assumed to be homeless and under the influence of drugs - had erections and grabbed her by the waist and proceeded to grind up against her.

Kasparian said the turning point in her political stance was when she was scolded by liberals following her confession of feeling fearful to leave her house.

Some of the messages claimed she was ‘painting a wrongful picture of the homeless community,’ some called her a racist despite her not disclosing the men's race.

She had been speaking on the Jillian Michaels' podcast when she spoke of the incident.

The nearly two-hour podcast went on to detail the two women’s thoughts on the recent political climate with both of them claiming the left ‘forces people to defect.’

Kasparian, who was once aligned with the Democratic Party said: ‘I’m at a point where I do not want to be pigeon-holed in any political tribe or identity.

‘Everything has become dogmatic and if you don't buy into the entirety of the dogma you open yourself up to backlash. It's not a fun experience,’ she added.
