Jurors in Lindsay Clancy's murder trial will hear from psychiatrists who treated her in the months leading up to her kids' deaths today.
The Massachusetts nurse is on trial for strangling her three children, Cora, five, Dawson, three, and Callan, eight months, to death at her family home in Duxbury in January 2023.
Clancy had been prescribed thirteen different psychiatric medications in the months leading up to the tragedy. The nurse and her ex-husband have filed civil lawsuits against her providers alleging malpractice and negligence for her postpartum mental health issues.
Yesterday in court, jurors were shown graphic autopsy photos of an eight month old Callan. The images which were not shown to the public gallery in court, which prompted Clancy to break down sobbing loudly and uncontrollably at the defense table.
Jurors also heard testimony from several friends, colleagues and people who knew Clancy well.
Clancy has pleaded not guilty in her case citing postpartum psychosis, but prosecutors argue she deliberately sent her ex-husband Patrick out on errands to carry out the killings.

Friends describes Clancy as loving mother in court yesterday
Under cross-examination in court on Thursday, Clancy’s friend described her as a loving mother.
‘She loved her kids. She was warm, kind, consistent, loving,’ she said.
She also testified that Clancy had expressed having difficulties, especially with sleeping, to her.
But Clancy was not a complainer, she agreed.
Tears streamed down Clancy’s face as she listened to Decollibus say she was concerned about her.
