A former One Direction singer returns to Mexico City for a solo stadium night next April. The promoter has confirmed the date, the venue and the official ticket seller.
Louis Tomlinson brings his How Did We Get Here? tour to Estadio GNP Seguros on Saturday, 10 April 2027, Excélsior reported. OCESA, the Mexican concert promoter, announced the Louis Tomlinson Mexico City show in a press release on 18 May 2026.
Tickets are sold through Ticketmaster México and the stadium box office, according to that release. For US fans, the trip needs a passport, a flight and some planning around transport and safety.
Why This Show Matters to US Fans
Louis Tomlinson is a British singer-songwriter who became famous as a member of One Direction, the boy band formed on British television. Since the group’s break, he has toured as a solo artist with a loyal following across the Americas.
Excélsior, a Mexico City daily, reported that he first toured Mexico as a solo act in 2022. That tour reached Guadalajara, Monterrey and Mexico City, according to the paper.
In 2024, he played the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez racetrack in Mexico City on his Faith in the Future tour. He returned to the same site on 16 May 2026 for the Tecate Emblema festival, Excélsior reported.
The 2027 date is a solo stadium show, not a festival slot, according to the OCESA release. Excélsior reported that fans had to register in advance for the first presale.

Schedule and Tour
OCESA lists the concert for Saturday, 10 April 2027, at Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City. Excélsior, La Razón and N+ reported the same date and venue on Friday, 15 May 2026.
Those outlets tie the show to the How Did We Get Here? tour, which also includes other Latin American countries. The full list of other Latin American dates was not checked for this guide.
No door time or start time had been published in the sources checked on 11 October. Mexico City no longer uses daylight saving time, so US Eastern time runs two hours ahead in April.
A show starting at 8 p.m. in Mexico City would therefore begin at 10 p.m. in New York. That is only an example, because the official start time has not been announced.
No opening act had been named in the OCESA release or the Mexican reports checked. Check the Ticketmaster México event page closer to the date for set times.
How to Buy Tickets Safely
The OCESA release names Ticketmaster México, at ticketmaster.com.mx, and the venue box office as the official sales channels. It said a Banamex card presale opened on 28 May at 2 p.m., with general sale one day later.
Excélsior reported earlier fan presales from Monday, 25 May, before the bank presale. It put general sale on Friday, 29 May, at 2 p.m. Mexico City time.
Ticketmaster México’s event page could not be loaded from outside Mexico on 11 October. Whether seats remain, and at what prices, could therefore not be confirmed for this guide.
Buy only through Ticketmaster México or the stadium box office, and avoid resellers on social media. Tickets offered by strangers outside the stadium may be fake or already used.
Mexican tickets are usually charged in pesos, so a US card may add a foreign transaction fee. Keep the order confirmation and the card used for the purchase until after the show.
Getting to the Stadium
Estadio GNP Seguros is the stadium formerly known as Foro Sol, east of Mexico City’s historic centre. N+ reported the change of name when Bruno Mars opened the renamed venue in 2024.
Los40 México lists Ciudad Deportiva, Velódromo and Puebla on Metro Line 9 as the nearest Metro stations. Metrobús Line 2 stops at UPIICSA, El Rodeo and Iztacalco, though these mean a longer walk.
Trolleybus Line 2 also stops at Ciudad Deportiva, Puerta 8 and Puebla, according to Los40 México. Expect crowded platforms after the show, when tens of thousands of fans leave at once.
For a February 2026 concert, Ticketmaster offered a Ticket2Ride shuttle from the stadium car park for 350 pesos (about US$19). Los40 México said routes included Santa Fe, Condesa and Perisur, but no shuttle has been confirmed for this show.
Récord reported a Metro fare of 5 pesos (about US$0.28) in June 2026. A ride-hailing car is simpler late at night, though prices often rise after big events.
Benito Juárez International Airport also lies in the east of the city. Allow extra time for traffic on show day, especially on the main roads around the stadium.
Safety and Costs for Visitors
The US State Department rates Mexico City at Level 2, “exercise increased caution,” because of terrorism and crime. Its advisory, dated 29 May 2026, says petty crime is frequent in tourist and non-tourist areas.
It advises against hailing taxis on the street and suggests trusted ride-sharing apps or authorised taxi stands. It also urges extra caution at night outside popular tourist areas.
A US passport book is required to fly into Mexico, because a passport card is not accepted for air travel. No visa is needed for visits of up to 180 days, and immigration officers set each permitted stay.
Los40 México listed banned items for the stadium, including food, drinks, professional cameras, vapes and aerosols. Small bags up to 30 by 30 centimetres, portable chargers and raincoats were allowed at that show.
Rules can change by event, so check the Ticketmaster México listing before you pack. Conversions in this guide use about 18.1 pesos per US dollar, the rate on 11 October.
What It Means for You
For US residents, the Louis Tomlinson Mexico City show is a stadium concert a short flight from Texas or California. It also means a weekend trip, so plan flights, hotel and transport early.
Buy only through Ticketmaster México or the box office, and keep checking the event page. Any change in date, time or entry rules should appear there first.
Budget for a peso-priced ticket, possible card fees and a ride-hailing trip after the show. Check the State Department advisory again shortly before you fly, because ratings can change.
What Is Not Known
Ticket prices, seating zones and current availability could not be confirmed from an official source on 11 October. The artist’s own tour page could not be loaded to cross-check the date.
The start time, door time and any opening act have not been published. It is also unclear whether organisers will add a second Mexico City date or shows in other Mexican cities.
