Team Jacob fans, your time has come. The developers of Love and Deepspace have revealed the game’s newest love interest, a werewolf named Valko, and the fandom has—and you’ll have to forgive me—gone feral.
Debuting in Love and Deepspace on July 9th, Valko is the CEO of a tech company by day, the leader of a werewolf clan by night, and I can already hear the Omegaverse fanfiction engine roaring to life. Interestingly, although the fandom has exploded over Valko’s reveal, opinion on him is pretty split. Lots of fans are rightfully excited to have a new boy to lust over. Meanwhile, others either don’t like his look, thinking he too closely resembles the other love interests, or don’t think his vibe really fits with the rest of the cast. One of the more interesting fandom conspiracy theories is that Valko was created specifically to appeal to Western fans, and I can kinda see it.
i have a Question, do you European girls like this? This person is not quite the type that girls here like.

Valko feels more vulgar than the rest of the cast. He’s more rugged-looking, has furry ears and a tail, occasionally runs on all fours, and howls. Compare that to the other boys who all have an air of danger about them, but are much more restrained in ways that will feel familiar if you watch Asian dramas or play otome games.
Even though I am one of the aforementioned members of Team Jacob, my first impression of Valko was that he’s very much not for me. I don’t like his looks and I’m not really moved by the fact he’s clearly meant to appeal to fans of Omegaverse fiction. However, one of the neat things about Love and Deepspace is that sometimes you really have to get to know a character first before you actually fall in love with him. At first, I only gave the time of day to the doctor Zayne and the mafia boss Sylus. But after getting to know the other three love interests through story content, I’ve developed an affection for all five boys. I get the feeling I’ll fall for Valko, too, once Love and Deepspace lets me pet that dog.
