A New York luxury interior designer has been charged with drunkenly crashing his Porsche on Christmas Day.
Edward Yedid, 46, was allegedly speeding down an East Hampton road when he swerved into the oncoming lane and struck another car, reported the New York Post.
Yedid's silver 2021 Porsche Taycan 4S smashed into a 2016 black BMW SUV carrying a family of three on their way to the movie theater on December 25.
When police asked how much he'd been drinking, the co-founder of design company Grade New York allegedly replied, 'Just today?'
Yedid started the company with his business partner Thomas Hickey in 2004 after they met when Yedid was a student in one of Hickey's classes at Parsons School of Design.
The company has gained notoriety designing luxury homes around the world including million dollar projects in New York City, Florida and Israel, according to their website.
Yedid, a married father-of-one, allegedly told the family in the other vehicle after the crash: 'Sorry, my car just drives really fast.'
Arianna Thomas, 30, of East Hampton told The Post she was driving with her partner and father to go see Wicked when the Porsche crashed into them.

'We only had a second to react, and he just smashed into us,' Thomas said. She noted Yedid asked if the family was okay but she told him not to speak to them.
'We could smell alcohol immediately. He was wearing head-to-toe designer clothes when he got out of the car, eyes completely bloodshot.'
Thomas said she is bruised on her right knee, her partner has a cut on his nose and bruised his head. She also said her father is experiencing back pain.
'We were in the hospital for Christmas,' she lamented.
An arrest report viewed by the outlet noted 'the odor of an alcoholic beverage upon [Yedid's] breath,' stating he was 'unsteady on his feet' and had 'bloodshot glassy eyes.'
The police report said he 'performed poorly on all standardized field tests... produced a breath sample' and 'was subsequently placed under arrest,' but did not reveal his blood-alcohol content.
Yedid was arrested then transported to the Southampton hospital, where he was eventually released told to return to the police station on December 27 to complete his arrest.
He was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to keep right, speed not reasonable and driving an uninspected car.

Yedid was released and told he must show up for his arraignment on January 8, according to police records.
The interior designer is well-known in the area and was featured in an interview on The Invisible Collection about his favorite spots in the Hamptons.
Yedid and Hickey wrote a book in 2019 titled, 'New York Contemporary: Grade Architecture and Interiors.'
