Five people, including two children, have died in a car crash on the M6
motorway, Cumbria police said.
Police were called to the northbound stretch of the motorway past Tebay services at 4.04pm on Tuesday.
The driver of a Skoda, a man from Cambridgeshire, was pronounced dead at the scene, the force said.
A man, the driver of a Toyota, a woman and two children, from Glasgow, also died at the scene. A third child was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
