PETALING JAYA – Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim is undergoing medical examinations and procedures as prescribed by his team of medical specialists.
According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office on Aug 10, Anwar is expected to remain under medical observation for two days.
“The Prime Minister is currently undergoing examinations and procedures determined by the team of medical specialists,” said his senior press secretary Nashrul Abaidah.
The statement did not disclose details about the nature of the examinations or procedures being carried out.
It also called on Malaysians to pray for Anwar’s medical examinations and procedures to proceed smoothly and for him to be blessed with continued good health.
“We pray that all matters relating to the Prime Minister’s examinations and procedures will be eased and that he will be granted continued good health so that he can return to his duties as usual in the near future, God willing,” said Nashrul. THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK
